Allergy Test

Allergies are very common and can affect anyone. Allergies develop when your immune system reacts to a foreign substance or protein.Ā

Common types of allergies include:

  • Food (milk, peanuts, shellfish)
  • Pollen (tree, grass, weed)
  • Animal (fur, skin or urine of animals such as dog and cat)
  • Insects (bees, cockroach, dust mites)
  • Drug (antibiotics, aspirin)
  • Latex (gloves, balloon)
  • Mould (fungi such as Aspergillus and Penicillium)

Immunoglobulins E (IgE) are antibodies produced by the immune system. An IgE allergy test primarily identifies immediate allergic reactions. IgE-mediated allergies typically trigger in rapid symptoms within minutes, such as hives, itching, swelling, breathing difficulties, or anaphylaxis (severe, life-threatening allergic reaction).Ā

Ā

Food intolerance is when there is difficulty digesting certain foods or ingredients in food. IgG [1] - mediated allergies often result in more subtle or delayed symptoms, such as diarrhoea and bloating.

Ā

If you are experiencing any allergy symptoms, don’t wait for it to disappear. It's important to address them promptly to avoid potential risks and maintain overall health and well-being.
